Weird Developments

October 10, 2009

We were all waiting for “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya” to appear on season 2; we were disappointed with the Endless Eight arc, and we were confused since we didn’t know if that arc was still going to be included on this season. Some still had hopes for it, some believed that they were planning another season with it; though the truth turns out to be that they will make a movie.

Yes, “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya” will be a movie, and it will air on 2010. Kadokawa Animation aired the trailer on it’s Youtube Channel, which I’m, posting right here.

Haruhi seems excited too...

Haruhi seems excited too...

Now, not all the news are Haruhi-related. (WTFux?)

Remember that post I made around March, that rusty post in which I posted all the anime that I was expecting to see in 2009? (this post) Well if you remember it/just saw it, you might noticed that out of the 5 hopes we haven’t seen one yet, actually we hadn’t even heard of it… ’til now.

Yap we finally get news about the Trigun movie. (dun dun dun) Even more surprisingly the movie is planned to be released on Spring 2010! Now we can wait properly for it.

Wait for the movie!

Wait for the movie!

I’m done with the news, but I still feel like writing more to make a bit with the lack of posts (blame school).

The new anime season started last week and I’m taking this chance to post a pair of this season anime that you might want to check out.

11 Eyes

After seeing the first episode of the series I already have high hopes for it. On the very first seconds you’ll be able to see quite a scene… on red highlights. *ahem* the story seems to be centered around Kakeru Satsuki, whose sister committed suicide 7 years before the actual story *COUGHFIRSTSCENECOUGH*. So what happens next? Well that’s a good question because the story hasn’t been completely introduced yet, (gah) but it still promises alot!

Why? Well… red highlights!!! In 3 points of the first episode the whole background is red and black, (being the first seconds one) which makes me get the idea that there will be a very good plot development, and that there will be some nice action scenes around it. I hope to be right!

Letter Bee

Anyone that saw Letter Bee’s OVA released on 2008 already has an idea of what’s going on here, and a bit what will happen. The story is set on Amberground, a land infested with giant mechanical bugs, and where the mail delivery can only be done by the “Letter Bees” who risk themselves accompanied by a “Dingo“, which is a creature that helps them whenever they are attacked by the bugs.

Obviously the bugs are so well armored that they can even deflect bullets, so the only way to fight them is to fire them a piece of your own soul; which is a double edge sword because if you shoot too much you’ll eventually become soulless and you’ll loose your heart, (metaphorically) becoming no more than a flesh doll.

Why am I recommending it? Well I saw the OVA and I kinda have an idea of what will happen, and I’m also looking forward the story, so hoping for the best this anime will be quite interesting.

Okay I think that’s enough for today, go check them and I hope to post again soon!

That day, in retrospect, those noisy evening cicadas were warning me of the events to come.”

If you ever looked for an anime in which the characters could change drastically of humor from amazingly cute to psychotic, even murderous? Well then Higurashi is definitely for you. Higurashi brings up not only characters with drastic change of personality, but also tons of blood, murderers and cute girls. If you haven’t seen Higurashi, you probably never heard those on a same sentence before if you start seeing it you will realize that I’m not lying.

I’m just going to give out a warning; Higurashi DOES contain scenes with excessive amounts of blood, and if you aren’t into those kind of animes you probably might want to skip it… Though it’s never late to begin.

Endless Eight arc ends!

August 6, 2009

So, if you have been seeing the new episodes of Haruhi Suzumiya, you have probably noticed a little recursion on the last 7 episodes; fortunately it has been confirmed via Kadokawa’s New Type Magazine that the Endless Eight arc will finally end this week. If you haven’t seen the episodes and don’t want to get spoiled, just imagine seeing the same episode of Haruhi Suzumiya for the past 7 weeks.

Are your ready Guys? Put ya guns on! Here we GO!!!” Being honest, this was my favorite anime of spring 2009 season. The show pretty much goes like this: “Guy vs a Beast-load of people, explosion, beast-load of people flying on the air.”; seriously, this anime is one of the best action animes I’ve seen; it IS worth of seeing it.

Evolving

July 28, 2009

Like a week ago I was talking with a friend about opening a blog; the idea was vague and we were talking about it as if it were a long-termed project. Something unexpected happened, people were actually willing to see that project in motion, and something even more unpredictable happened, the project was actually growing at lighting speed.

Now the blog will be opened in a little less than two hours.

This blog will basically contain geek news and that kind of stuff. It’s pretty much the biggest project I’ve worked on, so feel free to check it anytime.

Don’t worry, I’ll still fulfill my duty on Sleep Deprived.

Wish us luck, for the time has come.

Anyways I think its fixed so ill be posting again >>

At a point, we’ll love an anime so much that we will want a new season of it. Sometimes it comes sometimes it never does.

So what’s the point of this post? Announcing 2 new seasons.

Shakugan No Shana

Finally, it was announced. The new season for Shakugan no Shana is already in development. We still don’t have many details about release dates, plot or anything like that, but as soon as something is announced, I’ll be posting it. Shakugan No Shana will premiere on Oct 2 2009 in Japan.

Darker Than Black

A second season was announced and it’s on its way. Personally I think that the first season wasn’t that good; I hope that they fix it on the second season. Same as shana there are not many details… Just think that the fact that the second seasons are announced is already good.
